Corruption
When we think of some political tension,At first, the cause which comes in our mind is Corruption!
Indeed, this epidemical curse is spreading in the political arena,
Huh! They tried a lot to remove it, but lost their stamina.
They take millions from the government to help the poor,
But swallow it all themselves…
And who’s going to take care of the posted letter,
If the postman himself, is one of the corruption’s slaves!!!
Many have tried to throw out Corruption,
But, my god! It’s so powerful,
That whoever volunteered,
Was also dragged in this vicious circle.
But who cares…the politician?
Never friends, He only is the inventor…
Of this game, which he plays,
With the most ill-fated poor.
Analysis to this Poem
To analyze the poem we first need to study the characteristics presented. We see in the poem that the main source of political tension in a country is corruption, brought by the politician. The politician can’t be blame for all the problems, because he starts with good intensions, but as we later find out in the poem, he finishes in a vicious circle. We notice a metaphor in the stanza number sixteen where the author compares corruption to a game between the poor and the politician; In that game only the politician wins. That comparison is supported by the fifth stanza were the authors said “They take millions from the government to help the poor, But swallow it all themselves…” Another characteristic we need to study is the influence of corruption; it says that we can’t stop it because of the power it holds, the seductive vices it brings.

Analysis to this Poem
The poem above shows a clear exposition of how a Philippine political officer, is accused of being corrupt. Which has reached an alarming level since it refers to children who are being affected because of the corruption of this officer. It's like the bad decisions of this alleged political negatively influence their own people, the people that elected him. It also shows the hypocrisy and lies within the formality of the theft to the legal. This is a poem that develops from a point of view as cruel and true is that corruption is actually costing you and those bad practices. With regard to the comparison both poems about corruption as a powerful problem has not been solved yet, for which no solutions have some. It also focuses on the political and show that the people is that ultimately affects.
